AB-620 Course guide
AB-620 Copilot Studio Course: Build a Real AI Agent
Free AB-620 Copilot Studio course guide: 16 theory and lab modules that build one enterprise agent end to end, plus two exam Q&A videos with 48 questions.

The AB-620 Integrated AI Agent Solutions in Copilot Studio Step By Step course is a free video course that prepares you for the Microsoft AB-620 exam by building one real enterprise agent in Microsoft Copilot Studio. It is for makers, Power Platform developers and Microsoft 365 professionals who want to learn agent building by doing it end to end in a live tenant, not just by reading about it.
The agent you build is called the M365 Change Advisor. Every module adds one piece, from an empty environment to a governed, tested and packaged agent. The full course lives on the AB-620 course page.
Who this course is for
AB-620 is an Associate level exam: Designing and Building Integrated AI Agent Solutions in Copilot Studio. The course suits:
- Copilot Studio makers who have built simple agents and now need connectors, workflows, tools and governance.
- Power Platform developers who want to see how Dataverse, flows and custom connectors fit into an agent solution.
- Microsoft 365 administrators and consultants who are asked to deliver agents that use Microsoft Graph data.
- Exam candidates who learn best from one connected project instead of disconnected demos.
What you will learn
The 16 modules, numbered 00 to 15, fall naturally into five themes.
1. Foundations: environment, Graph and the connector
Module 00: Environment, licences and prerequisites, Module 01: Prove the Graph calls in Postman and Module 02: Build the reusable custom connector set up everything the agent depends on. Proving each Microsoft Graph call in Postman before building the connector means you know the API side works.
2. Data and automation
Module 03: Create the Dataverse change register, Module 04: Build the scheduled harvest workflow, Module 05: Add the AI classification step and Module 06: Teams digest and the Service Health branch build the back end. You store changes in Dataverse, collect them on a schedule, classify them with AI and deliver a digest in Teams.
3. The agent itself
Module 07: Create the M365 Change Advisor agent, Module 08: Skills, and the workflow as a tool and Module 09: Test, publish and govern turn the back end into an agent people can talk to. Module 08 shows how an existing workflow becomes a tool the agent can call, which is a key idea in integrated agent design.
4. Advanced integration
Module 10: Add an MCP tool to the agent, Module 11: Multi-agent collaboration and A2A, Module 12: Human-in-the-loop approval in an agent flow and Module 13: Azure AI Search and Foundry for the archive extend the agent beyond Copilot Studio.
5. Quality and lifecycle
Module 14: Test sets and evaluation and Module 15: Solutions, environment variables and pipelines finish the project the way a real team would: measure the agent’s quality, then package it in a solution with environment variables and move it with pipelines.
How the course is organised
- 35 videos, about 6.5 hours in total, free on YouTube.
- It opens with a Course Overview (about 9 minutes).
- Then come 16 modules, each with a theory lesson (10 to 15 minutes) followed by a lab (3 to 23 minutes) in which every step is performed for real.
- It ends with two exam questions and answers videos (about 35 minutes each): 48 scenario questions that follow the official skills outline.
Each lab builds on the one before, so follow the order. You can follow the whole series in the YouTube playlist.
How to study it step by step
- Watch the Course Overview for the M365 Change Advisor scenario.
- Pair theory with lab. For each module, watch the theory video, then the lab. Pause the lab and repeat each step in your own environment where you can.
- Do Modules 00 to 02 carefully. Environment, Graph calls and the custom connector are the foundation. If they are solid, everything after is easier.
- Build the back end in one stretch. Modules 03 to 06 work best close together, so the Dataverse table, the scheduled flow, the AI step and the Teams digest stay fresh in your mind.
- Create and govern the agent. In Modules 07 to 09, focus on how skills and tools are added, and what testing, publishing and governance involve.
- Take the advanced modules one at a time. MCP, multi-agent collaboration, human-in-the-loop and Azure AI Search are separate ideas. Write a short note on when you would use each.
- Close with quality and ALM. Modules 14 and 15 show how a finished agent is evaluated and moved between environments.
- Test yourself with the Q&A videos. Pause before each answer is revealed, commit to your choice, then check the explanation.
There is no separate lab guide, practice simulation or mock exam for this course on Skills Pragati right now, so the two Q&A videos are your built-in self-test.
How it helps with the AB-620 exam
The course targets AB-620: Designing and Building Integrated AI Agent Solutions in Copilot Studio, at Associate level. Instead of covering topics in isolation, it applies them to one solution: connectors and Graph, Dataverse, scheduled workflows, AI classification, agent skills and tools, testing and governance, MCP, multi-agent collaboration, human-in-the-loop approval, Azure AI Search and Foundry, evaluation, and solutions with pipelines.
The two final videos give you 48 scenario questions that follow the official skills outline, so you can check your readiness before you book. Always confirm the current outline on Microsoft’s exam page.
For wider context, the AB-100 Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect course covers the architect’s view of agent design, and Building Intelligent Applications Step By Step shows another hands-on build on Dataverse and Copilot.
Frequently asked questions
Is the AB-620 course free?
Yes. All 35 videos are free on YouTube. You can follow them in order from the AB-620 course page.
How long does it take to finish?
The videos total about 6.5 hours. If you repeat the labs yourself, allow extra time for each module; two or three modules a week is a comfortable pace.
Do I need a Microsoft 365 tenant to follow the labs?
The labs are performed in a live tenant, and Module 00 covers the environment, licences and prerequisites you need. You can also simply watch the labs if you do not have a suitable environment yet.
Are there practice questions?
Yes, inside the course. The last two videos contain 48 scenario questions with answers that follow the official skills outline. There is no separate mock exam on Skills Pragati for AB-620 at the moment.
